Sunday, January 31, 2010– In Our Parish
- Mass for all St James-St John Students, Faculty and Staff at St John the Baptist Church at 9:30 am. All students are urged to attend and must be in full dress uniform.
- Parents and students are invited to come back and enjoy Malassadas and refreshments at the school.
- Book Fair Open 10:30-11:30am
Monday, February 1, 2010 – Our Community
- Sports Day. Students come to school dressed as their favorite athlete or favorite team.
- Students in grades 1-3 of the Greater New Bedford Catholic Schools are invited to attend “Big Ryan” Storyteller at St. Joseph School in Fairhaven at 9:30 am
- Students are encouraged to write thank you letters to their parents for sending them to SJSJ.
Tuesday, February 2, 2010 – Our Students
- Twin Day for all students. Students will come dressed to school as another child of SJSJ.
- Entire Student Body to visit Flagship Theater to see The Tooth Fairy.
- All students meet with their buddies to read stories and share special time.
Wednesday, February 3, 2010, – Our Nation
- Pajama Day. Students may wear their favorite pair of “jammies” with sneakers.
- Students in grades PK and Kindergarten of the Greater New Bedford Catholic Schools are invited to attend St Francis Xavier School in Acushnet for a Sing-a-long at 9:00 am.
- Students are encouraged to write letters to our Troops in Iraq.
Thursday, February 4, 2010 – Our Vocations
- Mismatch Day. Students wear mismatched clothes and socks.
- Students in grade 4 and 5 of the Greater New Bedford Catholic Schools are invited to attend Bishop Stang High School for Chemistry is Everywhere at 9:00am
- Students are encouraged to write thank you letters and cards to your pastors.
Friday, February 5, 2010 – Faculty, Staff, and Volunteer Appreciation Day
- Full dress uniform day.
- Students in grades 6-8 of the Greater New Bedford Catholic Schools are invited to attend Bishop Stang High School for a performance by Tony Melendez 10:15 am
- Luncheon for our faculty, staff, and volunteers at 11:30 am.
- Students are encouraged to write letters and/or cards to our teachers and staff.
Parents, relatives and friends are welcome to attend all activities.
